Third Annual Boz Bros. Sports Ride in Sturgis

If you follow World Superbike, you already know Ben and Eric Bostrom are two of the most famous motorcycle racers in the world. Seeing as how they're both AMA National Champions, that makes sense. What you may or may not know is that for the last couple of years, they've been the point men for the BozBros ride on the curvy roads of the scenic Black Hills in South Dakota. This year the Bostroms will run a pack of motorcycle enthusiasts, industry professionals, celebrities, and legends on the 3rd Annual Sturgis BozBros Sports Ride, August 10, during the 2016 Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. The City of Sturgis is very excited to team up with the Bostroms to bring a new element to the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. "Moving forward we want to ensure that young motorcyclists, the sportbike community, and two-wheel enthusiasts from all walks of life feel welcome at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally for many years to come," said Brenda Vasknetz, Sturgis Motorcycle Rally director. Eric Bostrom has earned four national titles in both dirt-track racing and roadracing, totaling 46 AMA victories. Ben Bostrom is an X Games gold medalist and former AMA Superbike, Supersport, and Supermoto national champion.

"When we were kids we came with our dad, Dave Bostrom, to compete in the Sturgis short-track and half-mile," Ben said. "We are excited to come back and be a part of this historic event!"

Ben’s and Eric’s careers began on the dirt in the early ’90s. With several wins as dirt-track racers, they progressively moved toward the asphalt and dominated that field as well. Both are avid two-wheel enthusiasts and continue to influence the world of motorcycle racing. They graciously share their time with fans and fellow motorcycle supporters and have consistently been fan favorites throughout their decorated careers. Eric is head development rider for Brammo electric motorcycles. He can often be found racing his mountain bike competitively, contributing articles for magazine, hosting the television series, or most importantly spending time with his family. Ben is also an avid cyclist and races mountain bikes professionally for Specialized Bicycles. Ben, alongside his teammates, Micky Dymond, Dave Mirra, and Dave Zabriskie, in June of 2014 won RAAM (Race Across America), which raises money for charitable causes. Ben's first love is his wife and children. Second love, all things with two wheels. Ben's hero Steve McQueen sums it up best, "When you're riding, you're living; everything else is just waiting." The ride leaves from the famous Sturgis Dragway. Each participant will have the opportunity to take a run down the dragstrip and light ’em up before heading off on the ride. Ben and Eric are going to take you for a 50-mile ride through the Black Hills. The ride ends with a party with the Bostroms at a VIP location at Scott Peterson Ford in Sturgis. Free burgers and beer will be flowing just for you in your private party. Participants will also receive a one-of-a-kind Sturgis BozBros' swag bag. Tickets are $150 per rider plus tax, and the proceeds benefit the Sturgis Parks and Recreation Trail System. Participants must be at least 21 years of age.
