Italy’s big Biker Fest gathering was back this year for the 36th time, featuring an array of wild custom builds.Biker Fest International

The bike event known as the Italian Daytona came roaring back in a big way last month, with Biker Fest celebrating its 36th edition in scenic Lignano Sabbiadoro along Italy’s northeast coast. One of Italy’s most popular custom bike blowouts returned for 2022 with the format pretty much unchanged, so you had simultaneous activities spread out across four different areas of the city, making Biker Fest feel more like a sort of Italian Bike Week with a full slate of racing, touring, freestyle stunt shows, demo rides, and live bands all part of the mix.

The big names showed up in force, with BMW, Kawasaki, Triumph, and Royal Enfield offering a variety of models to sample, and the traditional finale on Saturday night—the Parade of Lights—featured thousands of riders surging through the city streets at sundown, making for a wild climax. But at its heart, Biker Fest is about the custom scene, and still hosts the final of the IMC (Italian Motorcycle Championship) custom bike show as well as the only date of the AMD World Championship of Custom Bike Building in Italy, both offering cash and prizes to the winners. We managed to scrounge up a few images of this year’s better builds.
