Sure, black is the most popular and common color choice for Harleys, but what if you want your bagger to stand out from the herd just a bit and you can’t afford a CVO? Well, you’re in luck ’cause The Motor Company has rolled out yet another choice for you, in the form of the new Eagle Eye Yellow Special Edition Paint Option.

’Course, there are some stipulations here. For one, the new yellow-toned treatment is only available as installed from the factory, and secondly, it’s only available on the Road Glide Special model. Also, this custom paint scheme will cost you—the Eagle Eye Special Edition Paint Option is an additional $1,995 over the base MSRP. (The base model coming in Vivid Black).

It’s available as a factory-installed option only, and is backed by Harley’s limited warranty.

But that doesn’t mean it’s not a cool way to give your bike some serious pop. The Eagle Eye paint is laid down on a brilliant yellow base color with a glossy clear coat finish, and at the center is a huge black eagle graphic—the big bird spreading its wings—flowing from the very left edge of the fuel tank all the way to the right side, extending to about midpoint of the shark nose fairing. On the opposite side of the tank, a basic Bar & Shield logo takes up that space. Harley-Davidson script frames the outer edge of each saddlebag lid, and the latches are color-matched. That special-edition paint also covers the fairing, fuel tank, front and rear fenders, saddlebags, and side covers, with the majority of the remaining surfaces staying blacked out for a killer contrasting look.

The nice part about the factory installation is that you can now get a custom paint job without having to repaint the original parts or install an accessory paint set that leaves take-off painted parts on the shop floor. Even better, the Eagle Eye Special Edition Paint Option is backed by the Harley-Davidson limited warranty, and does include Harley’s RDRS system. The downside is that only 900 units of this special paint set will be offered worldwide.

The price of the 2020 Road Glide Special model with the Eagle Eye Special Edition Paint Option is $29,294, or ”$1,495 more than the base price with a standard solid color” according to Harley. But we’re going to point out, again, that the option is $1995 more than the lowest-priced base model (in Vivid Black).
