Of the postapocalyptic trio of bikes on the website, one especially caught our eye. It’s this ‘86 Sportster, known affectionately within the ICON circle as ‘The Roach.’ The site description says it best: “Superficially patinated[sic] with the neglect of three decades, her rusted tins belied her pristine guts. Oversized forged pistons, clearances cases, and back-cut tranny gave her both the lungs and legs of the finest thoroughbred. Though originally crafted for the asphalt, the Roach had become quite adept doing dirt. 19-inch rims, shod with virtually unobtainable Maxxis DTR1s, let her blur the line between civilized and savage.” We’re told it’s a runner, so who knows? Maybe there’s a ride for us in the near future.
