Kristy Swanson’s coming to Sturgis again this year where she will be marking her fifth appearance Aug. 4, 2014, in the Sturgis Buffalo Chip Legends Ride in South Dakota.

Kristy, whose acting credits include Dude, Where’s my Car, Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Psych, will be riding a Victory bike alongside husband/former Olympian Lloyd Eisler.

A fan of motorcycles for the past six years, Kristy was initially turned on to the two-wheel sport by Eisler, who’s been riding for 40 years-plus and Buffalo Chip owner Rod Woodruff.  Her first bike was a 2005 Yamaha V-Star 650, so she’s moved up in size and displacement since then.

The Sturgis Buffalo Chip Legends RideThe ride attracts its fair share of celebrities from television, film, motorcycling along with hundreds of not-so-famous riders from around the globe.

On Aug. 3, the day before the ride, Kristy will signing autographs at a reception featuring her recent portrait by artist David Uhl. The piece, titled “The Huntress,” features Kristy in a Streampunk-themed scene complete with a horse-drawn hearse, wooden stake pistol, bottles of Holy Water on her arm band and crucifixes on her outfit for visual protection.

Both David and Kristy will be at the Gold Dust on Sunday and then again on Monday from 10 a.m. signing autographs until the start of the Legends Ride in which both are participating.  After the ride, David will auction off a special one-of-a-kind hand-embellished “Huntress” canvas print at the Sturgis Buffalo Chip with proceeds benefitting the Black Hills Special Olympics and the National Motorcycle Museum.
