Indian Motorcycle has just informed us that it's heading back to Biarritz as the title sponsor of the popular European Wheels and Waves festival this June. It'll be the third consecutive year of Indian's support for the rally, which will again celebrate the flat-out fun and full-on culture of motorcycling, surfing, and skateboarding from June 12 through the 16th.
As usual, it all goes down on the Basque coast where like-minded folks will dive into an eclectic mix of events, art, good food, and great music, all related to motorcycle, surf, and skateboarding scenes. They'll be able to watch bike races, surfing contests, skateboarding sessions, and live music, as well as films and videos on motorcycle, surfing, and skateboarding. And, oh yeah, customs—you'll see lots of customs at Wheels and Waves. There'll also be a schedule of special events across multiple venues too, like Indian's Wall of Death spectacle in the main village, and the DTRA Hooligan races over the border at San Sebastian, Spain. And don't forget the rockin' Punks Peak sprints.
The theme for this eighth edition of Wheels and Waves is “Back to the roots,” which organizer Jérome Allé says is really about appreciating the moment as well; “We really want to revive the spirit of Wheels and Waves’ origins, based on meeting and sharing different worlds and cultures, this enthusiasm and energy that allow us to live, for a few days, a unique experience in our life.”
Those who book a five-day ticket in advance will automatically be entered into a drawing for a chance to win the all-new FTR 1200. Pretty good incentive, right? Get your advance tickets online at: wheels-and-waves.com.
