Salt Optics and Aether Apparel Sunglass Collaboration

Moto-Friendly Shades for All Two-Wheeled Enthusiasts

Salt Optics and Aether Apparel released two new motorcycle-specific sunglasses with the moto-enthusiast in mind. The Scout and the Explorer are definitely not your run-of-the-mill shades, and were created to look sleek and to combat the elements since both models claim to reduce wind flow and peripheral sunlight by more than 80 percent.

Lightweight, beta-titanium frames feature nearly super-strong side pieces and temples that are flexible enough to be easily taken on and off while wearing a helmet. The titanium nose pads help keep the glasses in place, providing a comfortable, secure fit that requires little-to-no adjustment when rolling down the road.

Both the Scout and Explorer also feature windshields, an extended frame-top, and calibrated holes in the windshields to ensure peripheral vision is not obstructed. There are also two lens options, both with a polarized film to block glare. The first lens option includes a photochromic filter that automatically adjusts to suit the light conditions. The second lens option includes a scratch-proof mirror coating that increases glare blockage. The lenses are available in a total of four colorways. The Scout and the Explorer are a tad pricey at $600 each, but then again, they're made from titanium, which definitely ain't cheap!
