Yamaha's XV950 Racer Brings New Attitude To The Lineup

Yard Built inspired cafe-racer brings custom style to the versatile Bolt line

Yamaha uses the phrase "inspired by the past, built for the future," to describe their Sport Heritage line, and we think that the XV950 Racer does that justice. The minimal design of the headlight fairing, clip-on aluminum handlebars, rear-set foot controls and the cafe-style solo seat harken back to the glory days of city-riding and bar hopping. The updated hand controls, smaller master cylinder and new switch-gear help to give the bike a more sporty feel as well.

But don't get me wrong, the 950cc v-twin is a torque rich engine that is ready to take on whatever you throw at it, and with the updated suspension it will eat it up. 41mm forks with 9mm more travel than the R model and piggyback gas shocks in the rear, also with more travel, will keep you comfortable while in that more aggressive riding stance commonly associated with cafe racers. This bike offers classic lines on a highly customizable platform in an accessible, comfortable, middle-of-the road cruiser and we dig it.

This is a Europe only model, the Bolt C-Spec is already available in the US. For more information visit Star Motorcycles US or Yamaha Motor EU
