Suzuki Goes Big With B.O.S.S. Cruisers

Three Blacked-Out Boulevard Cruisers Join The Growing Family

Suzuki's Boulevard cruiser line is growing. The first Boulevard B.O.S.S. model, the 2013 C90T, proved so successful that Suzuki has opted to give the dark treatment to three additional blacked-out Boulevard cruisers. For 2014, the company says, we're getting the Boulevard C90 B.O.S.S., the Boulevard M109R B.O.S.S., and Boulevard C50 B.O.S.S.

The classic cruiser-styled 2013 Suzuki Boulevard C90 B.O.S.S. was practically a given, seeing as how it's just the C90T B.O.S.S., stripped down (in fact we wonder why Suzuki didn't release both those bikes at the same time last year). The touring bike's windshield and factory-issued hard bags are simply deleted, resulting in a new Blacked Out Special Suzuki (B.O.S.S.). The new C90 B.O.S.S. features black treatments on wheels, forks, exhaust, engine covers and more, but down below, you still get the proven 90-cubic-inch (1462cc) powerplant, a long-and-low steel chassis and the uber-stout shaft drive.

The muscular Suzuki Boulevard M109R B.O.S.S. is being released as a 2014 model. With the new styling, this M109R B.O.S.S. gets a new look and additional attitude that suits its bad-ass demeanor well. Black wheels, handlebars, mufflers, fork tubes, engine covers, brake calipers and more add to the aggressive styling, which is further enhanced by gashes of Marble Daytona Yellow across the gas tank, fenders and headlight, and detail wheel striping.

Naturally, you still get all the M109R's brute strength with the package, led by the 109-cubic-inch (1783cc) liquid-cooled engine with Suzuki Dual Throttle Valve fuel injection. Running on a massive 240mm rear tire and inverted front forks with race-proven cartridge internal components, the M109R's ride characteristic is unmistakably Suzuki Boulevard.

Meanwhile, the 2014 Suzuki Boulevard C50 B.O.S.S. brings sleek appeal to the middleweight cruiser class. Based on Suzuki's best-selling Volusia model, the C50 now gets copious splashes of black paint on everything from the cast wheels to the handlebars and all along the slash-cut mufflers. You can still count on strong performance thanks to that 805cc fuel-injected and liquid-cooled powerplant, which shines in the low-down torque department.

According to Suzuki, the newly expanded family of Boulevard B.O.S.S. cruisers will being showing up in Suzuki dealerships across the U.S. beginning in late July. The company says prices will be announced shortly.

Coinciding with the new i Boulevard B.O.S.S. launch, Suzuki will also provide a special blacked-out experience on its website over the Memorial Day Weekend.
