Another weekend, another Progressive International Motorcycle Show in the books. That also means there’s a new set of winners from the fourth round of the 2018–’2019 J&P Cycles Ultimate Builder Custom Bike Show (UBCBS), which took place within the IMS Minneapolis event last weekend. And, yes, the prize holders automatically get to compete in the championship round in Chicago on February 17.
Within the nine announced classes we saw a couple of bikes win for multiple classes, along with a nice crop of vintage stunners. Here’s the list of winners from the UBCBS at IMS Minneapolis:
Winner: As mentioned above, Jeffrey Thomford’s winning entry is actually a 1998 Suzuki Savage, also known as the “Beer Budget Board Tracker.” This slick thumper features a handbuilt frame with a girder front suspension, 21-inch wheels, an aluminum alloy fender, and aluminum tanks.
K&N Garage Builder
Winner: Michael Bates scored again with that Sportster XR1200 in this other category as well.
Winner: It’s John Nordby won once taking the cash and prizes with that Weston Choppers Root Beer Bike.
