If you're a traveler on the West Coast looking for high-end, non-Harley bike rental options, your luck just got exponentially better: Hertz Portugal (a franchisee of The Hertz Corporation) has just launched Hertz Ride in the United States. The luxury motorcycle rental and tour service comes to our shores following the success of its operation in Portugal, Spain, France, and Italy. Beginning October 1, riders can jump on Hertz Ride's BMWs from its Las Vegas and Riverside, California, locations.

Hertz’s rentals so far are only available in the western US, and include bigger BMW models, like the R 1250 GS.

Hertz Ride offers a selection of big BMWs for rent in the US, with the lineup currently including the BMW F 750 GS, BMW R 1250 GS, BMW R 1250 RT, BMW R nineT Scrambler, BMW K 1600 B, and BMW K 1600 Grand America. For riders' comfort and added safety, Hertz equips its bikes with keyless ignition, side panniers, a top case, and engine protection accessories.

What Is Hertz Ride's Tours Of A Lifetime?

The Hertz Ride operation also serves up discovery tours for adventure enthusiasts, created by experts to explore some of the West’s most majestic landscapes on specially equipped bikes. If you want a plug-and-play setup, opt for Hertz Ride’s professionally guided “Tours of a Lifetime” to discover America’s most iconic as well as off-the-beaten-track routes and dazzling terrain. These fully loaded trips are led by expert tour guides and include a bike rental with a complete luggage system, 24/7 roadside assistance, and, for a truly stress-free adventure, lodging in motorcycle-friendly hotels with breakfast and dinners included. There’s even a chase vehicle included to haul your luggage. If that sounds too claustrophobic or if you’re more of the adventurous type, go with a self-guided tour option.

Hertz decks out all its bikes with luggage and offers a wide range of add-ons should you need some extra goodies (we assume those are an extra cost as well).
