Located in the heart of the Inland Empire in Southern California, the Hippy Killer Hoedown is a totally unique type of show. Being a little smaller than some of the other shows in SoCal, you don't get the same sort of Instagram driven, vintage t-shirt hunting crowd that you do see at some events in the area. This one in particular has more of a local feel, like the old guys from the area have pulled out that old piece of gold that sits in their garage the other 360 days of the year to show off.
Another thing I love about this show is the diversity of bikes you'll see in the parking lot. Everything from weirdo Marauder hardtailed chops, strutted SR500 brats, cb750 and KZ1000 choppers and diggers, baggers and touring bikes from panhead to twin cam and many more. Vans, lowriders and hot rods took the sides of the show and the back lot, where the car clubs were hanging out under their tents dancing, drinking beers and just having a great Saturday afternoon.
Contrary to what the name suggests, the Hippy Killer Hoedown is all good vibes. A good amount of people in a good sized area checking out awesome bikes, vans and cars. This is my third year rolling out and I will be back for many more.
