Fifty years at the top of your field is an impressive run for any design—whether for man or machine—and Honda is wasting no time in popping a cork for the bike that arguably kickstarted the touring segment back in 1975. OK, so it’s not an over-the-top special limited edition; for 2025 we’ll get the same bike but with several styling touches to honor its 50th anniversary. It’s not hyperbole to call the Gold Wing legendary, and the platform has evolved considerably in the half-century since its launch, though for 2025, we’re disappointed not to see any mechanical changes or tech upgrades like radar or blind-spot detection. (For the record, Honda is touting the addition of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto this year, but the 2024 bikes got that upgrade already.) In short, the venerable Wing keeps on trucking with a seven-speed automatic DCT or six-speed manual transmission, 7-inch TFT screen, navigation, an adjustable electric windscreen, four riding modes, traction control, Hill Start, and more.
For the big birthday, Honda chose instead to center the updates on aesthetics, with distinctive colors and badges across the bodywork marking the special occasion. The five specific 2025 50th Anniversary trims will also come with two commemorative gifts: a coffee-table book covering the model’s extensive history, and a 3D tabletop model with a 1975 bike on one side and a 2025 motorcycle on the other.

The top-line trims of Honda’s touring flagship are where you’ll find the clearest signs of its Golden Anniversary, with these models seeing new colors for 2025. The Bordeaux Red Metallic and Eternal Gold schemes for the Gold Wing Tour, Tour DCT, and Tour Airbag DCT are eye-catching on their own, and both have subtle Gold Wing logos incorporated into the saddlebags, as well as a 50th Anniversary badge in front of the seat. The Tour and Tour DCT also have a Light Silver Metallic color option, but that’s not considered a 50th Anniversary edition, and so has no badging (they’re also priced less). At the top of the chain is the Gold Wing Tour Airbag DCT, but that comes only in Bordeaux Red Metallic.
The 50th Anniversary Gold Wing Tour will be available in Bordeaux Red Metallic or Eternal Gold, with an MSRP of $29,200;
The 50th Anniversary Gold Wing Tour DCT gets the same colors, but costs $30,200;
The 50th Anniversary Gold Wing Tour Airbag DCT comes in Bordeaux Red Metallic and carries a price of $33,500.
The two non-anniversary Wings are the Gold Wing Tour, in Light Silver Metallic for $28,700, and the Gold Wing Tour DCT in the same color for $29,700.
The above models will be available in March.
The Gold Wing’s “bagger” version is considered the base model, and follows in the steps of past trunkless bikes like the Valkyrie and F6B. It’s the same bike, but available in two trims; either with a manual gearbox or Honda’s advanced dual-clutch transmission. As a nod to the Wing’s half-century milestone, the 2025 standard bikes come with styling treatments like bold Gold Wing logos subtly placed across the saddlebags and side fairings. There’s also a special 50th Anniversary badge at the front of the seat, and the cockpit screen now displays “Since 1975″ when the bike is started. As before, the standard Gold Wing has a shorter windscreen than the Tour versions, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto can be accessed wirelessly.
Unlike on the full-dress touring versions, your color options are severely limited for the trunkless Wing: The only choice here is Matte Black Metallic for both trims.
For the standard 50th Anniversary Gold Wing, MSRP is $25,200, while the 50th Anniversary Gold Wing DCT carries a price tag of $26,200. These models will also hit dealerships in March.

“Honda has introduced many important powersports models over the years, but the Gold Wing is and always will be special, because of how it kickstarted the touring movement and inspired its own dedicated subculture,” said Colin Miller, manager of public relations at American Honda. “For these reasons and many others, the 50th anniversary of the Gold Wing platform is a significant milestone in Honda’s history, and we’re happy to mark the occasion with stunning touches to the 2025 model.”
