2017 Harley-Davidson Touring Road Glide

An ultra-smooth ride.

2017 Harley-Davidson Touring Road GlideCRS

A member of the Harley-Davidson touring family, the Road Glide is powered by the all-new Milwaukee Eight 107 cubic inch air/oil-cooled V-twin. The engine features electronic sequential port fuel injection, four valves per cylinder with maintenance-free hydraulic tappets, a reduced effort clutch and six-speed Cruise Drive transmission. Despite producing more power and torque than its Twin Cam 110 predecessor, the Milwaukee Eight runs cooler, is mechanically quieter and its counter-balancer provides ultra-smooth operation. Perhaps the most defining feature of the Harley-Davidson Road Glide is its frame-mount triple vent sharknose fairing. Far more than a styling statement, the fairing’s functional benefits range from reduced head buffet to improved steering and handling feel. This along with the in-dash Boom Box 4.3 stereo system, two-up touring saddle, full-length Streamliner floorboards and improved ride quality of its new bending valve fork and twin emulsion shocks (now with tool less spring preload adjuster) has made for a touring platform that works as good as it looks. The optional Reflex Linked Brembo ABS brakes electronically combine front and rear brake bias for enhanced safety and stopping control and paint options include Vivid Black, Superior Blue, Velocity Red Sunglo and Billet Silver.

Thoughts from the Staff

“The H-D Road Glide is the choice for more modern bagger riders. The dual headlight has more of a new school look to it and mounting the fairing on the frame rather than the fork provides lighter handling.” –Morgan Gales, Editor
