Highlights From Intermot 2018

The biennial trade fair in Germany had new bike reveals, customs, fresh gear, and more

Every two years the German city of Cologne gets swamped with the sounds of roaring engines, but it's not a bad thing; it's Intermot, the international trade fair for the motorized two-wheel scene. This year had the usual graybeard demographic representing, but word on the street was that large numbers of younger two-wheel fans (50 percent more than the last show in 2016) were flowing through the halls of Koelnmesse too, getting the full motorcycle show experience. With a packed slate of events on the program, with new model releases from Indian, Ducati, and Triumph, to the AMD World Championship of Custom Bike Building, to even a special program for women riders, there really was something for everyone this year. Zillers Garage took first place in the 13th Annual AMD Championship with "Insomnia," a Yamaha SR400-based custom. Some of the other highlights for us:
