"I've killed just about everything that walks or crawled at one time or another. And I'm here to kill you, Little Bill, for what you did to Ned." —Clint Eastwood as William Munny in Unforgiven (1992)
Max Hazan isn’t a cold-blooded gunfighter but he is a helluva fabricator. Like William Munny, he’s really good at what he does, which in his case is creating all kinds of vehicles, from cars and bikes to boats and planes. Custom motorcycle creation started as a hobby in his dad’s woodshop but eventually, Max opened Hazan Motorworks and went full-time. Now he and his wife, Sarah, run it out of their base of operations here in Southern California. He makes each unique scoot in his shop with his own hands, which is why the Musket engine in this sweet bike was such a good fit for his approach.
What makes Musket V-twins unique is that they’re built out of two single-cylinder Royal Enfield 500cc engines set in one bottom end. They’re not the sort of crate mill you order out of a huge parts catalog, which also made one the perfect choice for Max’s custom build shown here. The rest of this machine was planned out around the Musket, with almost all of it being made in Max’s shop. If his work is this good on a bike, just try to picture one of his boats or planes.
