Blech and Druber's Karpatenhund

If Boba Fett rode a Sportster...

There's putting parts on a motorcycle, and there's building one. 'Karpatenhund' from Blech and Druber in Austria was built with extreme engineering skill, attention to detail, and tons of style. It's one of those amazing customs that you can stare at for hours and keep finding more. Some crazy blend of retro-futuristic-cafe-bobber, this bike looks like it should be delivering a carbon frozen Han Solo to Jaba the Hutt.

Every detail. Every piece of hand formed and finished metal works together brilliantly. Look how the top of the fairing comes down and connects to the top of the gas tank. The oil tank that fits flush with the tank and seat section, and those hard oil lines that bring lubrication down to the engine. The handmade exhaust wraps around the engine and finishes up front in that chin spoiler. A custom swingarm was fabricated with a peephole for the rear caliper, and it's dampened by two short shocks on the right side. The seat section mounts to the frame and the oil tank, with the actual seat extending up onto the tank.

I would guess that the battery has been removed, or at least swapped for a much smaller one. A kick starter has been added, which is usually a good indicator of that (we hope it isn't just for looks).

I guarantee there are things on this bike that I can't see and are being overlooked. So it goes when the builders' website is just a vague auto collision repair site in a foreign language.

I found this bike through the Custom Chrome Show put on by Custom Chrome Europe in the Motor Bike Expo in Verona, Italy. I have searched the internet for Blech and Druber but only found tiny bits of information. Seeing this level of craftsmanship without somewhere for me to go to follow up on it is driving me crazy. This bike is so next level and I want to learn more about the people that built it, but I can't. I am reaching out to Blech and Druber and hope the language barrier doesn't stop us!
