THIS is why we love dealership contests. Going into it, you know you are going to have to build something far out. Something way out of the box. You don't want to pull up and have a bike that looks just like the one next to it. From the 26 builders/dealers, you have bikes ranging from race-inspired track bikes, to full on bobber/ cruisers, to scramblers and cafes. Some builders put on T-bars and a pipe and wrote it off as a budget build, others, like Mathias Marine Sport in Quebec, brought much much more.

Everything from the number plate and old school MX style grips, right on down to the KX250 motocross inverted forks have been done just to the right point. The exhaust is one exception detail that was fabricated in house, as well as the handmade seat and tail section.

The engine, while plenty powerful right out the box, got a little bit of lovin' as well. A Stage 1 air intake box was installed, and the engine was remapped to better suit the tracker style.

I don't know who looks at the lines of a Victory Octane and says "let's make a 70's style flat tracker that'll blow the pants off of just about any 70's style flat tracker," but we like that person.
