How to Change Your Motorcycle's Oil and Filter

Follow the procedure regarding filter removal specified in the owner's or shop manual procedure regarding filter removal. If your bike uses a cartridge-type filter, unscrew the cover bolts a little at a time to prevent warping or cracking the cover. If the filter is a spin-on, use the appropriate tool to loosen it, though if you're a manly man brute strength will probably do it. View Related Article
