I have a 2009 Vulcan Voyager.  I had the same concern.   Here's how I approached it. The GVWR is 1274 which is combination of the load index on the front and rear tires at Kawasaki's recommended tire pressure (458lbs at 28 psi for front and 816lbs at 40 psi).  Bridgestone rates the tires at a higher load rating but at higher tire pressure (677 lbs front and 853 lbs rear at approx. 41-42 psi).  When I wore down the tires, I replaced them with Multi-Tread Dunlop H-D tires and used their recommended tire pressure to give maximum load rating ( 677 lbs front at 41 psi and 1019 lbs at 42 psi ).    Kawasaki probably lowered PSI on front to get greater contact patch on front.   I have found the Multi-Tread Dunlop’s to have superb handling and grip for breaking and acceleration over the stock tires.
