Bike having above said issues. Bike is stock. Here's a list of things I've done to it: Cleaned carbs Reset float lvls to maint manual spec Carbs synced by a mechanic Engine compression fine and checked by a mech No exhaust leaks All seals are fine All parts inside carb are free moving and not damaged No clogged fuel lines That's all I can think of. Pls help. I'm wanting to do a poker run for D.A.R.E. at the beginning of June. Thanks!

Hi all, I had an opportunity to buy a Alpinestars GP-Pro Leather jacket for a sweet price, so I did. But the only option was size 44US / 54 EUR and I went with it. The problem is that it fits really tight and as this is my first leather jacket and I don't really know how the right size should feel. I'm 6' 3'' and weigh 176lbs. Will it stretch to fit comfortably? As the title implies I own a 1983 Honda CM250C Custom motorcycle, i need to know if I can replace my stock box assembly,Fuse (part number: 38200-KB4-005) with a set of inline fuses as two of the prongs that retain the BUS fuses have broken off and I am currently unable to locate a replacement. if anyone can answer this and tell me how to go about this.

Hi everyone, This is my first post in the community! Woo! I was hoping someone could lend me some knowledge. I've been wanting to find myself a project bike to start learning how to repair and hopefully get it up and running on my own. I recently found a 1977 Honda 350cc with just under 10,000 miles on it for $500 that is said not to run, and was curious if this seemed like a reasonable price? I was also curious if anyone could recommend me some good questions to ask about finding out the condition of the bike to see if it's even repairable? I'm picking a new 2012 Goldwing in 3 weeks. I've been off a bike for 15 years so am out of touch with technology. I'm looking for recommendations for a helmet and communication setup so that I can access my phone, listen to music, and occasionally talk to my wife who will be infrequently behind me. What is the ideal set up, cost not an issue? Preference open face helmet vs. full face? Looking at the Shoei Neotec helmet, but sure about Full face or open face/ Is J&M audio the way to go? Any recommendations will be appreciated.

I recently made a 160(round trip) mile run , the following day my C50 blvd felt sluggish in first and second gear. I really didn't think to much of it and continued on my trip just a few blocks from my house. All the other gears felt okay :confused: and shifting was smooth. This Saturday I made another run 380 miles(round trip)to a camp site to meet up with some friends. As I started this run again my bike felt sluggish and gears were hard to shift, I did manage to make it to where we where headed without any problems. On the return trip my bike was again sluggish, gears were hard to shift and it died out on me a couple of times before we got going. After a few miles again the gears were shifting without any problems and the bike returned to running really great. Didn't experience any other problem with bike and made the return trip home alright. can anybody tell me if they have experience something similar and how you fix-it or what was checked? I'm planning a trip to New Mexico in a couple of weeks and don't want to risk getting stranded anywhere. Please provide feed-back. :confused:

I put 14" apes on my C50. I of course had to ghange all the cables. The aftermarket braided clutch cable from Barnett only has an aduster on the engine end and not at the lever. there is too much slop in the clutch lever and if I twist the throttle hard in higher gears the clutch is slipping. Any body got any ideas. there aint enough screw to adjust.

I'm in the process of replacing a damaged rear brake caliper on my 2001 Kawasaki KLR 650. Bought a used one on eBay that was advertised as being in good condition, but have been having problems with it. I installed it a few nights ago, filled the system with new fluid and bled out the air bubbles, only to find, when I applied pressure to the brake pedal, that the pads grabbed the disc and would not let go. I drained the system, completely disassembled the caliper and meticulously cleaned it according to the Clymer manual's instructions, applied silicone brake grease to the right places, and reassembled it. I reinstalled it and filled it with brake fluid again, bled the system, only to find that I had the same problem as before--pads that would grab but not release--plus a new one: when I apply pressure to the brake pedal, brake fluid leaks from the section where the brake hose meets the caliper. The latter problem could be my fault, as I disobeyed the manual's instructions to use new crush washers in that place, and instead just reinstalled the old ones. I'll put in new ones when I take the caliper off again today, but is it possible the problem is something else? And as for the pads that just grab and hold on--what are the possible culprits here? After taking apart the caliper, and closely reading the manual, I feel I have a very good grasp of how the device works. As far as I can see, the only things that could possibly make the pads do this are a) the piston getting stuck, b) the whole caliper getting stuck on the slide pins of the caliper holder, or c) some combination of the two. Am I missing something? Please help me out--I just spent a hell of a lot of time cleaning and reassembling this thing, and am about to put my head through a wall.
