An injured motorcyclist might find that MASA'as $240 annual membership is cheap insurance if he or she needs medical transportation by air.
Honda Rider's Club of America, the owner's organization operated by American Honda's Motorcycle Division, has announced a unique benefit for its members a discount on initial membership in the Medical Air Services Association (MASA). Although MASA offers a number of services for members, the one that's probably of most interest to motorcyclists is prepaid emergency air transportation, something that an injured motorcyclist might require. Even on a non-emergency basis, air-ambulance services can cost tens of thousands of dollars and may not be covered by normal medical insurance. Such transportation is used increasingly frequently to move patients when specialized treatment is not available in the area where they are injured or fall ill.
Although Honda Rider's Club of America (HRCA) members still must pay the annual MASA membership fee $240 for individuals or $360 for families MASA will waive the one-time $60 initiation fee for them. Even if you joined HRCA just for this benefit and paid the full roadside-assistance membership fee ($39.95, or $29.95 without roadside assitance), it would still save you money. MASA offers additional benefits for riders who are injured or fall ill, either while traveling or at home. Torrance, Ca. The Honda Rider's Club of America (HRCA) and MASA, Medical Air Services Association, have announced a new partnership that provides HRCA Members with an exclusive offer that will not only save them money, but more importantly, may save their lives.
