Milan, September 2011 - With a little over one month to go before its debut on Tuesday, November 8th at Fiera Milano, EICMA Custom has already secured the presence of many top level exhibitors at the EICMA Show. Renowned customizers based in Italy and overseas have signed on and are ready to satisfy the curiosity of the over 500,000 visitors that are expected to attend the forthcoming edition of the Show.
One of the first companies onboard was
Asso Special Bike, the company headed by Carlo Colombo, a key player in Italy's custom scene for about three decades now. Colombo will display his latest creation, the 199R.
Mauro Avato's Milan- based MPH Toys will also be present: one of the earliest companies to believe in EICMA Custom, it specializes in the customization of Harley-Davidson V-Rods.
Lorenzo Boccin (BCC), celebrated for his old-school choppers, will be present, and so will Marco Cinquini (Garage 65), a customizer that has made a name for himself abroad by winning the 2010 AMD world championship.
1st place in the 2011 AMD World Championship for the Modified Harley-Davidson class went instead to Samuele Reali's
Abnormal Cycles, also on display in this area. Pavilion 2 will also host
Nero Opaco Motociclette, whose creations stand out for their elegant design.
Among the best known brand names we should mention is Totti Motori, a company established in 1973, that creates exclusive special models and specializes in the restoration of British motorcycles. A major role is played by Mr. Martini, a Verona-based Triumph specialist, while among the most important of the British brand custom models is TPR, the company established by Pietro Figini.
At EICMA Custom plenty of space has also been reserved for the manufacturers of leather accessories and bags, airbrushing and pinstriping artists, and all the best interpreters of custom culture. The atmosphere acquires an international quality thanks to the exhibitors coming from the US, such as the California -based Hardknock and Kikker 5150 old-school style bobbers, and from Switzerland, with Choppers Crown. Some of the most important American customizers are expected to participate in the unique event.The tightly-packed program of events will culminate during the Bike Show, where the customizers will compete within three chosen categories (Chopper, H-D Modified and Cafe Racer), also thanks to the partnership with Custom Chrome, a leader in the aftermarket industry, that will provide highly valuable prizes for the winners.
The international jury will be chaired by Giuseppe Roncen, editor of LowRide magazine.
Among the novelties: a 50% discount on the entry ticket for HOG (Harley Owners Group) members, and for the readers of LowRide, who will find a coupon in the November issue of the magazine.
