(Lake Forest, CA July 29, 2010) Effective end of this month, Motovan becomes the exclusive distributor for Scorpion helmets in Canada. This expansion plan will expand Scorpion's reach significantly, and northern dealers can expect quicker product deliveries and even more added value benefits.
"We think this strategic alliance will broaden the distribution of Scorpion products in Canada and get the brand more exposure worldwide", explains Scorpion USA President Rick Miller. Billed as the source for motorcycle parts and accessories, Motovan is headquartered in Montreal, Quebec along with a Western distribution centre in Vancouver B.C., allowing it to service dealers Canada wide. The Motovan.com site even has an en Francais version for its French-speaking dealers.
"In the transition period, we will continue to serve those Canadian dealers who have purchased Scorpion helmets while Motovan gets up to speed and gets their inventory in line", Miller adds. "In fact, our Canadian dealers should not even notice a change, as the helmets carried by Motovan will be exactly the same as what we are shipping into Canada now". Miller notes that the Scorpion ExoWear line will continue to be exclusively available from Scorpion Sports USA.
Dealers in the United States will continue to be serviced by Scorpion's network of independent sales reps. Meanwhile Miller says most of Scorpion Sports personnel from Canada will be reassigned to the East Coast of the USA.
