For the first time in Royal Enfield's history, they are introducing an all new fuel injected engine to power their next generation Bullet. Royal Enfield is a manufacturer that has made a career of recreating vintage designs and until now, every Bullet that came off the assembly line in India has been virtually identical to the 1955 original. The new fully-integrated unit construction EFI motor will be available in both the Bullet Classic C5 and the Bullet G5 which is available in both Classic and Deluxe trims.

The Bullet Classic C5The all new "C5" evokes styling from 1951; however, at its heart beats a brand new Unit Construction Engine (UCE)--and Royal Enfield's first electronic fuel injection (EFI). The company set-up its own design group with their designers frequenting the British National Motorcycle Museum for inspiration. The result is a modern interpretation of a fifties era classic British single.
The goals for the C5 were increased reliability and low maintenance while staying true to Post-World War II styling and meeting increasing tough emissions regulation. The use of a 500cc long-stroke, single cylinder, pushrod engine ensures that Bullet owners will get the torque, feel and sound they have become accustomed to. Another important goal was the ability to sustain the higher cruising speeds common across the US. The bike certainly has the look with its body-colored frame, sprung saddle and black-painted alloy cylinder. The C5 is expected to be in US dealerships June 2009 with a MSRP of $6395.
The Bullet G5 Classic/DeluxeAlso using the all new UCE engine with EFI is the updated Bullet G5. Maintaining the iconic styling of the 1955 Bullet, the all new G5 features improved suspension, higher cruising speeds, and better handling. Built to meet Euro III and other modern emissions standards, The G5 should provide an estimated 85 mpg fuel economy. The classic has a one-color design with hand-painted pinstripes while the Deluxe has a combination chrome and painted tank with rubber knee pads. The Deluxe's looks are further enhanced with chrome fenders, chrome airbox and chrome brake lever. The new Bullets come with an industry-leading 2 year, unlimited-mileage manufacturer warranty
