Harley-Davidson Battle of the Kings is back

All new customs based off of the Sportster Forty-Eight, Roadster and Iron 883

If at any point you think "it's all been done," take a step back again think again. While Harley-Davidson's Sportster is one of, if not THE most customized bike on the market, builders' creativity has not yet reached its limit. The Sportster aesthetic is so easily recognizable that many find it hard to stray from, and let's be honest, it does look REALLY good. But staying too close to the original lines makes it difficult to stand out. The Battle of the Kings pits dealers from all over Europe, the Middle East and Africa against each other to build the best Sportster Forty-Eight, Iron 883, or Roadster custom. This year, with over 200 entrants, it takes a lot more than your typical Sporty custom to stand out, and with more far-out builds than ever, it seems the builders knew it.

From baggers to dirt bikes, while some builders seem to be more focused on standing out than making a good motorcycle, we are getting some real works of art here. Here are just a handful of the bikes we saw and loved, and some that are just too extreme to ignore!
