H-D Battle of the Kings: France

S-One Harley-Davidson's custom Street 750

The Harley-Davidson Battle of the Kings is an awesome competition that is driving some incredible custom builds from all over Europe. H-D gave each of it's European dealerships a brand new Street 750 to have their way with. Voting has narrowed the competition down to nine bikes that will be judged by an expert panel at the Wheels and Waves Show in Biarritz, France from June 11-14th. The custom 750 that we are focusing on today is from Sabrina at S-One Harley-Davidson in France.

Sabrina and the team from S-One started on their project by changing out the handlebars, they put a frisco'd Sportster tank on there, and chopped the rear fender struts, where they then placed indicator lights. The wheels were swapped with spoked ones and equipped with white-walled tires. Custom pipes and breather were made for this bike, as well as the solo seat and rear fender. This little bobber imbues the classic 70's Sportster swing-arm chopper spirit, without any major cuts to the frame or welding modifications. Only problem is: it's not a Sportster.

When one hears "Harley-Davidson custom contest," of course choppers and bobbers will jump to the front of your mind, but the Street 750 is not that bike. This smaller, liquid-cooled, lighter weight motorcycle is a beast of it's own and we think it deserves a custom look and style of it's own as well, rather than to be built into Sportster look-alikes. That being said, we think the S-One team did a great job with this bike and are excited to see it in person at Wheels and Waves in June!
