Newburgh, IN, 1996 Yamaha Royal Star
Terry Ubelhor has owned his 1996 Yamaha Royal Star since August 2007, so he’s had plenty of time to customize it his way. The Royal Star has received Cobra slip-ons, speakers, mirrors, and peg covers by Kuryakyn, a Baron engine guard, Yamaha billet floorboards for driver and passenger, and a Mustang seat. The patriotic paint job is by Kevin Hess of CC Airbrush. At the moment, Ubelhor is working as a civilian electrician on U.S. bases in Afghanistan, but he can’t wait to come back home to do some riding.
Springfield, PA, 2006 Honda Shadow Aero
The Aero is Cathy Robbins’ first motorcycle and she tells us she absolutely loves it. Originally, Robbins didn’t have any plans for modifications, but that didn’t last long. Judging by the hand-painted purple rose on the tank (by Paul Quinn/Design Brilliance) to the boatloads of chrome and beyond, Robbins has clearly had some fun accessorizing this machine. It’s understandable then, when Robbins claims her Shadow gets compliments wherever it goes.
Phoenix, AZ, 2012 Victory Cross Country Tour
Ben Diaz originally wanted the two-tone scheme of a regular Cross Country, but the accessories of the Tour, so his dealer swapped the tins off the XC. His new Victory has been lowered an inch in the rear, and now sports two-inch longer chubby handlebars, police edition bag bars, bag lid rails, passenger grab bars and a passenger backrest for around town and short trips. A Power Commander V, and AZ Slammers pipes from Arizona Victory round out the package, which Diaz says always gets complimented by onlookers.
