The new Reduced Reach Forward Control Conversion Kit for Sportster® models (P/N 50700010, $169.95) from Harley-Davidson® Genuine Motor Accessories repositions Original Equipment forward-mounted footpegs and foot controls up and back by two inches for added rider comfort and confidence. The reduced reach places the rider's boot at the proper pivot point for improved leverage, while maintaining the "foot-forward" riding profile. This kit also provides additional leg clearance around the chassis and air cleaner, by moving the footpegs outward 1.5 inches (left) and 0.5 inch (right). This easy-to-install kit includes heavy-duty steel mounts and a shortened brake rod, and reuses Original Equipment control supports and brake and shift levers. It may also be personalized with custom lever styles. The kit fits 2004-later Sportster models equipped with forward controls. A similar kit (P/N 50700005, $169.95) is available for 2006-later Dyna® models with forward controls (except Switchback).
