2018 Harley-Davidson Softail Breakout Video Walkaround

The new Softail Breakout is one of the most polarizing bikes in the 2018 Softail lineup, and one of the ones I had the hardest time riding. Honestly, though, I expected the long rake and 21-inch front wheel to be much more of a burden than they really were. The bike dropped into the turns just fine, but the 240mm rear wanted to straighten it out as soon as you hit the throttle.

Obviously, this bike is more at home on the highway than in the twisties that we were putting it through. From an aesthetic standpoint, it's really hard to argue with the xohesive look of this one. It's not my style as much as the shorter, neater Street Bob, but there is a huge group of people out there looking for just this style. And for the style, H-D knocked it out.
